This high school Composition course is designed to strengthen students' reading, writing, grammar, and communication skills through engaging lessons and interactive activities. Students will develop confidence as writers while learning how to clearly express ideas, analyze literature, think critically, and communicate effectively in both academic and real-world settings.
Grammar and Sentence Structure, Parts of Speech and Punctuation, Paragraph and Essay Writing, Thesis Statements and Introductions, Argumentative Writing, Narrative Writing, Informational Writing, Literary Analysis, Academic Vocabulary, Reading Comprehension, Short Stories and Novel Studies, Literary Devices and Figurative Language, Research and Critical Thinking Skills, and Discussion and Presentation Skills.
No curriculum purchase is required for this course. A short reading list will be included in the syllabus.
