Behavior Consequences and Escalation
At Roanoke Salem Homeschool Academy, we aim to guide students toward responsibility and maturity. When behavior issues arise, the following steps may be taken:
- Verbal Reminder: Student is reminded of expectations and asked to correct behavior.
- Email to Parents: Parents are notified via email about ongoing behavior concerns.
- Parent Conference: A meeting is scheduled with parents to develop a support plan and set clear expectations.
- Loss of Privileges: Student may lose certain freedoms (e.g., lunch off-site, early release, or free time privileges).
-
Parent Required On-Site:
- Students 13 and older may be required to have a parent or guardian remain physically on campus during program hours.
- Expulsion: Permanent removal from the program without refund if behavior does not improve or if serious incidents occur.
Our goal is always to work with students and families toward restoration and success. However, maintaining a safe, respectful, and orderly environment for all students is our highest priority.
