Bible: Old Testament Survey

This Bible study course explores one of the most important themes in all of Scripture: how the entire Bible points to Jesus Christ. Using David Murray's Jesus on Every Page as our primary text, students will learn to recognize the many ways Christ is revealed throughout the Old Testament—not by forcing connections, but by understanding God's unified plan of redemption from Genesis to Revelation.

Through engaging class discussions, guided reading, and weekly reflection assignments, students will discover how biblical characters, covenants, promises, sacrifices, symbols, and historical events all prepare the way for Christ. By the end of the course, students will possess a richer understanding of Scripture as one unified story centered on Jesus and will develop practical skills for reading and studying the Bible with greater confidence and depth.

  • Christ Throughout Scripture:
    Learn practical methods for discovering how the Old Testament consistently points forward to the life, ministry, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
  • Biblical Themes & Typology:
    Explore covenants, sacrifices, kings, prophets, the tabernacle, and other biblical themes that reveal God's unfolding plan of redemption.

    Develop confidence in reading difficult passages by seeing how individual stories fit within the larger narrative of Scripture.
