Prepare for real-world financial decisions with a practical approach to mathematics! In this high school Consumer Math course, students will learn how foundational math skills apply to budgeting, earning, spending, saving, investing, borrowing, paying taxes, and planning for the future. Using Master Books’ Consumer Math: Biblical Stewardship & Personal Finance as a guide, students will explore everyday financial situations through real-life examples, case studies, mental math strategies, spreadsheet activities, and classroom discussions. The curriculum will provide the foundation for the course, but lessons may be adapted or supplemented to meet the needs of the class.
The materials fee will help cover classroom supplies, printed activities, spreadsheet resources, real-life financial exercises, and other consumable materials used throughout the year.
