Algebra 2 (10th-12th) 2 Hour Course

The Algebra 2 course, designed for students in grades 9 and up, utilizes the Math-U-See curriculum to build upon foundational algebra concepts. This course introduces more advanced topics such as factoring polynomials, quadratic equations, rational expressions, imaginary and complex numbers, and conic sections. The goal is to help students not only solve problems but also understand the “why” behind each method.

Course Overview:

  • Mastery-Based Learning:
    Math-U-See’s approach teaches specific skills in a definite, logical sequence, ensuring students achieve concept mastery before progressing.
  • Step-by-Step Instruction:
    Each lesson includes video instruction, guided practice, and opportunities to review and apply concepts using workbook activities.
  • Comprehensive Coverage:
    Topics include quadratic equations, rational expressions, radical operations, graphing conics, imaginary numbers, and real-world applications.
  • Assessment and Review:
    Includes regular assessments, chapter tests, and cumulative reviews to reinforce concepts and evaluate progress.
