This class will enable the student to explore our great country’s rich history and heritage. They will study the first explorers from Europe that reached the New Land, through the struggle for independence, and our own Civil War. How the impact of the world stage, including two World Wars, and several smaller conflicts, to present-day events and more, have helped shape our citizenry and our government into what we see today. We will use a Christian-based curriculum which will allow us to learn about the mindsets of our Founding Fathers, and their reliance on faith in our God for their decision-making and the formation and adoption of our unprecedented Constitution. Students will have projects, such as reports, preparation for leading class discussions, creative license to make critical-thinking theses, and out-of-the-box ideas.
